Originally known as “Charleville Charcoal” started in 2014 Leannda AKA “Miss Gidgee” and her team manufactured charcoal in pits in outback Queensland. Since then she collaborated with two entrepreneurs and a trade-qualified fitter and turner to now rebranded as “Chef’s Choice Charcoal”.
We now cook our charcoal in kilns so we can offer fully carbonized Australian charcoal unlike before in the old pit cooking system.
Our Australian-made, 100% natural lump charcoal is chemical-free, sustainably sourced and produced in Queensland. As a 100%-owned Aussie business, we’re committed to providing the highest quality product from the bush to the city.
